Another Beauchamp Holiday Home

Here at 283a Muritai Road is a private residence (cannot be visited) which created a stir when it took a spin on the real estate market in 2019.

The reason is that although a waterfront house in Day's Bay is described as the childhood summer home of Katherine Mansfield, this little 1905 villa in a gully may actually have been where she spent more time. The story goes that the Beauchamp family rented this place for several summer seasons before the built their own in the next bay.

In very original condition, the little house came in for much discussion by the artistic community, agent Sinead even made the TV news it was sold quickly.
