Kinleith Mill

Kinleith is a large pulp and paper manufacturing complex started by New Zealand Forest Product in 1953. It is associated with the company town of Tokoroa.

It was developed to process the nearby radiata pine forests planted between 1925 and 1935. These forests existed because the soils proved unsuitable for agriculture because of a a cobalt deficiency.
