Okareka Walkway

This 5.5 kilometre return walk starts at Acacia Road and follows the lake edge to the Okareka Outlet. The walk features farmland, beach, lake and wetland scenery, expansive views and wildlife. It is part of an ongoing re-vegetation project aimed at improving water quality and re-establishing wildlife habitats. The 500m boardwalk provides assisted wheelchair access to the wetland area.
