114 Victoria Street, Hamilton Central, Hamilton Central, Hamilton City
The museum offers a range of semi-permanent and temporary exhibitions, drawn from its own and other collections, both private and institutional, as well as presenting exhibitions touring nationally and internationally. A highlight is a superb carved war canoe dating from 1845. A Neil Dawson sculpture,"Ripples", is suspended in mid-air between the museum and the river.
Designed by architect Ivan Mercep, the building itself had it's 30th anniversary in 2017.
