Situated adjacent to the historic hotel at Hukerenui, approximately 30km north of Whangarei on State Highway 1, the Jack Morgan Museum houses the collection of local identity Jack Morgan and includes a fine collection of stationary engines, agricultural implements, artefacts relating to the local area, the railway and local maori that has been built up over the past 30 years.
The Museum and Hotel will together provide a convenient refreshment stop for travellers on SH1 with the museum, a cafe and public toilets on the same site. There will be ample parking.

Jack Morgan was born in 1916, and has lived all his 96 years in the Hukerenui area. His passion for collecting memorabilia from the early pioneering days began about 35 years ago. The collection includes stationary motors, farming and household equipment, forestry, -etc. which he gifted to the community in 2008.
On April 3rd 2013 Mr Jack Morgan received the Paul Harris Fellowship award.
