Pukeiti Rhododendron Trust

Three hundred and twenty hectares of rain forest providing ideal conditions for rhododendrons and companion plants, 25 minutes' drive south of New Plymouth. Thisis one of the world's biggest and most diverse rhododendron collections.

There are tours available, activities for kids, walks up to two hours in length, and in 2017 a massive new visitor centre opened, complete with a cafe and a building called the rainforest centre, which is an indoor home for some of the rhodos. Puketi plavs a big part in the annual Rhododendron Festival, which is now called the Garden Spectacular.
